Truly Youth Business University (YBU) could not meet the vision of providing superior, quality, personalized, and innovative services and solutions to our youths, adults, and the community at large without the generosity of so many individuals, families, corporations, foundations, sponsors, partners, and volunteers.

SNAPSHOT OF 2014 ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Listed below you will find some of our key accomplishments during 2014:

  • On October 10, 2014, Youth Business Youth provides support to the Tower's High School Future Business Leaders of America's Concession Stand involving the Tower's High School Homecoming Tailgating Party (over 1,000 students, staff, and faculty members attended).
  • On October 9, 2014, Youth Business Youth went into a collaborative aliance partnership agreement with The Glam Suite.  All parties will be coming together to provide a capital funding campaign for Youth Business University called the 100 Beauty Salons "Save Our Youth" Hall of Fame.
  • On October 9, 2014, the Glam Suite informed CEO Henderson that they were launching a special GoFundMe Capital Funding Campaign initiative for Youth Business University starting Sunday, October 12, 2014.
  • On October 9, 2014, the Glam Suite informed CEO Henderson that they were were on launching several other Capital Funding Campaign initiatives for Youth Business University over the next several months
  • On October 8, 2014, CEO Henderson met with a key consulting firm that we will help YBU wih strategic planning and programs development.
  • On October 7, 2014, Youth Business University GoFundMe Capital Funding Campaign called Crisis: Help Save America's Youth when viral.
  • On October 6, 2014, Aloycia Woods, President, Georgia Home Based Business Chambers of Commerce announced that their organization would be supporting Youth Business University in various capital funding initiatives.
  • On October 6, 2014, a comedy company and their comedian host Kaylin Olu finalized the agreement with Youth Business University to host a Red Carpet Charity and Benfit Comedy Show in honor of Youth Business University at Stars and Strikes Entertainment Center on November 14, 2014.  Twanda Black (radio host) of Kiss 104.1 along with students Veronica Joy Gary (poet) and Imani Hackney (singer) will also be involved in this event.
  • On October 4, 2014 Youth Business University receives a track grant check in the amount of $2,240 from CarMax.
  • On October 3, 2014, Principal Ralph E. Simpson, Ed.D, Principal, Towers High School approved for Youth Business University to provide volunteer consulting services as it relates to the schools Future Business Leaders of America and Chick-fil-a Leadership Academy Community Services Competition Projects.  There are over 30 youth participating in these projects.
  • On October 3, 2014, Mr. Olby, Site Coordinator, Communities In Schools, established a partnership agreement for Youth Business University to provide 16 Entrepreneurship Classes at Towers High School involving 84 students.
  • On October 1, 2014, Youth Business University receives invitation from Wells Fargo to attend the Wells Fargo North Atlanta Days of Giving Celebration on October 28, 2014, in order to receive a grant check for $1,000.

  • On October 1, 2014, CEO attends Proclamation Presentation for Dr. Nareera Dawood at the Fulton County Commissioner's Chambers.
  • On September 30, 2014, Arlesia Crooms, President, GoGreenTours announced that her company would be supporting Youth Business University involving various cpaital funding  initiatives. One capital funding campaign intiatives that her company will be HalloweenGreen and part of the proceeds will go to Youth Business University.
  • On September 21, 2014, Georgia Governor Nathan  Deal recogizes Youth Business University for our service in the community; especially as it involves youth.
  • On September 26, 2014, Youth Business University organized and hosted a Non-Profit and For-Profit Business Solutions Workshop.  This workshop included 13 nationally-known speakers.
  • On September 20, 2014,International R & B Singer Londee, Sin-Fo Nia Youth Orchestra, and Michael Jackson Dancer Gary Turner has their 3 rehearsal for the upcoming Youth Business University Charity and Benefit Concert to take place at Stars and Strikes Family Entertainment Center on September 26, 2014.
  • On August 18, 2014, CEO Henderson attended Atlanta Mayor Reed's Pastors Lunch whereby over 300 pastors were in attendance.
  • On June 22, 2014, Youth Business University organized and hosted a workshop for youth female athletes called "Young Ladies Student Athletes Empowerment and Success for Middle and High School Students".  This workshop included 8 speakers.
  • On June 21, 2014, Youth Business University organized and hosted a workshop for men called "The Twelve - The State of Today's Male Youth and Men".  This workshop included 13 speakers.
  • During the Summer 2014, Youth Business University launched a Youth Young Ladies Basic Skills High School Basketball Team coached under the leadership of Executive Coach Broughton, Assistant Coach Hodges, Assistant Sypoes, and trainer Anthony Delevoe.
  • On June 2, 2014, Youth Business University receives a track grant check for uniforms in the amount of $1,750 from the Atlanta Track Club.
  • On May 28, 2014, Fulton County Commissioner Vice Chair Emma I. Darnell Recognizes YBU 05.28.14
  • On April 25, 2015, Youth Business University performs a 2-Day Workshop on Life Choices and Their Consequences for Liberty Baptist Church.  The workshop included over 15 youth from elementary school to college students.
  • On April 28, 2004, YBU CEO Henderson Meets Fulton County Commissioner District 2 At-Large Robb Pitts.
  • On February 26, 2014, Crowd Funding Consultant Dominique LaTour of Sterling Funders agreed to provide consulting services to YBU's CEO Henderson to launch a YBU Crowd Funding Capital Funding Campaign.
  • On February 21, 2014, CEO Henderson submitted proposal to the Atlanta Dream for them to partner with YBU.  The week prior to this CEO Henderson, Board Member Robert Tracy, Adviser Bryan Taylor, and Assistant GM and AD Harold Fabre met with the Atlanta Dream marketing team at the Atlanta Dream home office.
  • On February 19, 2014, Youth Business University received 1,000 Teen for Success Books from Success Magazine which resulted in a $6,000 contribution in in-kind deeds to YBU.
  • During the month of January 2014, YBU CEO Jeffery D. Henderson had individual meetings with Stars and Strike Family Entertainment Center  and  Pin Strike Enterainment Center to present to them the opportunity to host the 2014 YBU Next Generation Empowerment "Path To Success" Summer Academy.

  • On October 24, 2013, the Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University offers to assist YBU with connecting with grant and sponsorship resources in order for YBU to purchase the Student Financial Peace University curriculum for the 2014 YBU Business and Financial Empowerment Summer Academy that will be held at Stars and Strikes Family Entertainment Center.

  • On October 24, 2013, YBU used Best Buy awards program and discounts along with receiving sponsorship funds from Community Team Coalition (Atlanta, GA), Southway Contracting (Stone Mountain, GA), The Wright Law Alliance, PC(Decatur, GA), Avery Goss (Fayetteville, GA), Doris Johnson, (Roseville, MN), Lawrence Sharpe (Stone Mountain, GA), and Donald and Erma Walker (St. Paul, MN) to purchase an HP laptop.

  • On October 4, 2013, YBU received donated piano from Chef and Entrepreneur Neil Edwards which was placed in YBU’s new Youth Dance, Internet Radio, Music, and Recording Studio.
  • On October 4, 2013, YBU received donated piano and drum set from Family Fellowship International Christian Church which was placed in YBU’s new Youth Dance, Internet Radio, Music, and Recording Studio.
  • On October 3, 2013, YBU CEO Henderson received communications from Roxanne Armes, Regional Sales Director of Stars and Strikes Family Entertainment Center that Stars and Strikes Family Enteretainment Center will host the 2014 YBU Generation Next Business and Financial Empowerment Summer Academy.
  • On September 27, 2013, YBU received a donated painted piano from the Georgia Symphony Orchestra which was placed in YBU’s new Youth Dance, Internet Radio, Music, and Recording Studio.

  • On September 22, 2013, Steve Fuller, Founder and CEO, Stephen Fuller Architecture Designs, offers YBU the opportunity to place our new YBU Youth Dance, Internet Radio, Music, and Recording Studio at his 14,000 ft2 Norcross (GA) facility.

  • During the month of September 2013, YBU CEO Jeffery D. Henderson had individual meetings with 4 of the Regional Sales Directors of Stars and Strikes Family Entertainment Centers to present to them the opportunity for Stars and Strikes  to host the 2014 YBU Next Generation Empowerment "Path To Success" Summer Academy.

  • During the Summer of 2013, YBU partnered with Self Image Development, Inc., and Calvary New Life Tabernacle to host the first of its kind 2013 BRAND AND EMPOWER YOUR YOUTH SUMMER CAMP for students from 5 years to 16 years old.  55 Youth attended this summer camp.
  • On May 13, 2013, YBU CEO, Jeffery D. Henderson was awarded the 2013 Trail Blazer Leadership Award from Beulah Heights University.

  • In December 2010, YBU was birthed at the home of YBU CEO Jeffery D. Henderson with 10 youth and their parents attending the first YBU youth semninar.
  •  On July 6, 2011, YBU received consent for name reservation from the Nonpublic Post Secondary Education Commission of Georgia.
  • On March 5, 2013, YBU received an "Interfaith Partnership Outreach Scholarship Award" from Lawson State Communnity College to award to a High School Student.

  • In March 2013 YBU entered into a contract with Dr. Melanie Cooper, Founder and CEO, Victory Over Diabetesto be the events planner and media consultant for the Victory Over Diabetes Dinner Gala and Silent Auction where the keynote speaker will be the world’s most admired neurosurgeon, Dr. Ben Carson.
  • On February 23, 2013, Walmart and Sam's Club were the presenting sponsors for YBU's Mega SMY (Social Media Youth) Generation “Spirit And Truth" Forum that was held a Liberty Baptist Church. Over 650 youth, parents, adults, and senior citizens attended this event.

  • On May 10, 2012, YBU CEO, Jeffery D. Henderson, received a "Certificate of Appreciation" from the Georgia State TRIO Programs Division of Student Affairs (Atlanta-Gwinnett Upward Bound Program).

  • On March 17, 2012, YBU CEO, Jeffery D. Henderson, received a "Certificate of Appreciation" for YBU efforts in support of Parent Engagement from the DeKalb County School District.

  • On February 24, 2012, YBU received our 501 c 3 Non-Profit Organization Designation for tax exempt status from the Federal Income Taxes.
  • On November 19, 2011, YBU was recognized by Governor Nathan Deal for our Mega Youth Event. 
  • On July 22, 2011, YBU received our "State Business License" from the State of Georgia Secretary of State Office.
  • On July 6, 2011, YBU received consent for name reservation from the Nonpublic Post Secondary Education Commission of Georgia.
